Now in its fourth year, the “Sounds in Winter” Concert Series will continue with an October 24, 2026 appearance of the Epilogue Trio. Based in the Capital District, the Epilogue Trio has performed throughout the Capital Region. With the unusual instrumentation of flute, viola and harp, the group presents a variety of programs. The Epilogue Trio is made up of local, well-known musicians Melanie Chirignan on flute, Andrew Snow on viola and Karlinda Caldicott on the harp. All members of the Epilogue Trio have performed in a multitude of local performing groups including the Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra, the Albany Symphony and the Albany Pro-Musica. This performance features music that you might hear at a circus and will include the famous Libertango by Astor Piazzolla.

“Sounds in Winter” is a very unique partnership between the Village of Ballston Spa, the Ballston Spa Committee on the Arts, The Saratoga County History Center at the Brookside Museum, with funding from a generous grant from Saratoga Arts and matching funds from the Music Performance Trust Fund of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 506.The concert will begin at 3:00pm in the Long Room of the Brookside Museum, 21 Fairground Avenue, Ballston Spa. The performance is free, however registration at brooksidemuseum.org is required as seating is limited.
