Join us on the 249th Anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord

Join Kathleen Royka in the Long Room at Brookside Museum for an event celebrating the 249th anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord.

April 18/19 is the 249th anniversary of Paul Revere's ride. An abridged version of the poem will be read before the program.

The program will discuss the Boston Tea Party and its effects on the colonists, the plant Camellia sinensis (tea) and substitutes for tea, including local variations, after the Boston Tea Party.

And, come and see how the gardens at Brookside are looking as we come out of winter and into spring.

The program is free to attend, though donations, which will benefit the gardens, are always welcome and much appreciated.
